Chiang Mai - Soaked in Chiang Mai

As previously mentioned, the 3 of us undertook a day adventure trek in the country, a hour away from Chiang Mai. At least we were not just 3 booked on this trek. We were 6, including A Frenchman - who worked at the Eiffel Tower - a Spaniard and a Thai.

The days events were the following:
- An elephant ride - I know again but this time a hell of a lot more confortable. Just 2 of us on each elephant
- A 1-2 hour trek to a waterfall
- White water rafting
- Bamboo Rafting.

During the white water rafting, we all got absolutely soaked but great fun. This was my first time and hopefully not my last.

The bamboo raft down the river was surreal. You would assumed that the bamboo raft would be floating on the water. Well it did sort

of float. However it floated bellow the surface. So we sat in water the 20 minutes we went down the river.

Our reward at the end of the day was the first of the all you can eat Thai buffet.

Unfortunately I do not have any photos of the White Water Rafting or bamboo rafting. No way were we taking our cameras.

(I have included Photos taken by Seb & Ulli, so thanks)

My God it's JUNGLE DAN... I'm sooooo impressed. Also, I need a cute elephant - it can live in the square downstairs.
